Summary of Position:
The Outreach Assistant will engage with communities, beneficiaries and stakeholders insupport of the Shelter Rehabilitation Project, ensuring effective communication, engagement and collaboration, contributing to the implementation of the project in a manner that is appropriate to the needs of the affected communities. This position will perform key tasks such as information sharing, feedback gathering and event organisation to ensure that project activities are carried out with strong community-based participation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collect data, contribute to surveys and assist in feedback of findings to stakeholders and the community.
- Record and communicate data on usual project activities and Shelter and Livelihoods conditions to the team leader.
- Increase participation in project activities by encouraging community engagement.
- Assist in the planning and execution of activities under the project.
- Carry out information dissemination activities, informing communities oft he project's objectives and gathering feedback.
- Contribute to project activities, initially in the evaluation phase andlater in the dissemination phase.
- Support the planning, organisation and coordination of promotional activities, events and workshops.
- Encourage the participation of community members throughout the project activities and communicate the opinions, suggestions and feedback from community members to the project team.
- Reporting the processes and results of project activities and sharing this information with the project manager and senior project officer.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in social sciences, public relations or related fields).
- At least 1 year of experience in community engagement, social work, or similar field.
- Strong communication and public speaking skills.
- Fluent in both Turkish and English
- Ability to work in a team and adapt to a multicultural working environment.
